Moon Watcher

Marg had to do it alone this year, the setting up of the cottage. She normally had her husband here, but not this year. She had to be strong and independent. Marg was doing good, getting all of the shutters opened, all of the little jobs that she never had to do before. All she had to do now was the wood. There she stood trying to chop up the pieces. It wasn't going well, and her neighbour Rob Carrigan knew this. He stood there offering some help, but Marg needed to be strong, she needed to prove that she didn't need a man to help her and that she would be just fine without his help. Rob enjoyed going over to have little visits with Marg. They mostly consisted of him talking, and Marg trying to ignore him, most times that didn't go so well. Rob has a wife, and Marg well she had a husband or has? The choice was hers now. Marg enjoyed going outside at night after everyone was asleep, to just enjoy to peaceful night. This night was different though, not everyone was asleep. There Marg stood, in the tall grass walking towards the beach in her red polo pajamas. Rob was behind her, walking quietly. Together they walked towards the water. Marg went in, splashing water around, and Rob followed. Together under the moonlight they played with the water and were just there for a moment.

  2. Throughout the story, Marg seemed to be very hurt from whatever it was that her husband did, so I believe that after this night with Rob, Marg won't go back to him. I believe that she has finally realized that she deserves better and does not have to go through what she had to with her husband.

  5. I believe that the theme of this story is finding yourself and understanding certain people and their feelings that they have.

  6. After reading the story, I believe that Rob might have developed some feelings for Marg. I'm not sure if it was a friendship, or more then that though.

  8. My predictions for this story would be that Marg realizes that there are better people out there and that she won't go back to her husband. As for her relationship with Rob, I believe that would possibly led into romantic relationship.

  9. do you beilve that Marg is deciting her husband by enjoying her moments under the moonlight with another married man?
    * If you were in Marg's shoes would you leave your husband and have an affair with a man u enjoy spending time with that is already married? or would you stop that moment and think about what is seen as right and wrong in society?

  10. I do not believe that she is deceiving her husband by having some fun with another man, however I do find it hypocritical if she were to continue this relationship into something further. If I was in Marg's shoes I would probably leave my husband, however I would not have an affair with a married man. Not only because it is not seen as right in society, but also because I would be acting in the same manor that my husband did that, which I did not tolerate.
